Week 1A: My Template

Welcome!

I believe that choosing the right theme is obviously important to make your blog attractive and glamour. I honestly found hard for myself to pick one of so many choices offered. I can't even decide yet on which features are essentials to me, but I have a huge hope that as we go through this semester I will definitely find my perfect theme depending on what my blog is all about.

As of the moment, I chose "Picture Window Open". I see design and features is not cluttered. I am a simple person and I want everything organized. I like the color combination as well, If I have my own brand logo one day I would try to match my logo with this color scheme but a little more interesting. I also like lighter colored website design for its better readability and opportunity for more design elements meaning I don't have to worry about adding more pictures etc. to enhance my page.

Furthermore, Picture Window Open theme has also simple, sophisticated, and readable fonts that helps capture some visitor's attention quick. I want to make it as easy as possible for my audience to read and navigate my site. I am also looking for a responsive theme and mobile-friendly, that adjust its layout and design across different screens and devices. As much as possible I don't want my mobile readers to have bad experience while visiting my site.

Overall, Picture Window open theme is only my first option but I do believe that there are thousands of themes that you can choose from.  I also like the travel, food, etc. The most important for me, the theme should be simple, responsive, and compatible our readers open it using different browsers.

I remember the first social media platforms that I joined just for personal use were MySpace and Friendster. Then, Facebook came. I like Facebook because I can upload photos and videos and share them to my family and friends and I enjoy looking on pictures online. I can also organize different events by just sending a digital invites to my guest. I also have Instagram same with Facebook I only use it as a photo sharing platform. But nowadays instagram has more engaged audience and this could be a great platform for building your brand.

Twitter also has millions of active users but to be honest, I deactivated my twitter account for personal reason. Using Twitter, companies could engage in conversation with users, drive awareness of a product or promotion and even participate in public discussions. I have Youtube account but it's in private. I only upload my family videos. Nowadays YouTube users' channel can use to develop and execute their marketing strategy. Businesses have an opportunity to established and groom their brand through interactive videos that can build followers. I joined Snapchat and Tiktok just to follow my daughter's in social media.

There are also other platforms that are being used for businesses such as LinkIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, etc. It is very fascinating to know these different social media platforms that we can use either personal or for business.

Week 17: Wrapping It Up

I was thinking back on the first time I have Facebook and Instagram personal account. It was just plainly for social interactions purposes....
